Besides spin-off projects and other initiatives on European platform level, the regional Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) on urban greening also realized a number of spin-offs. Here are some of such initiatives by the CoVE partners in Finland.
BIOmara
BIOmara is a project to develop a legislative guide on the production of bioactive compost (SFW: Sustainable Fuels from Marine Biomass). It’s co-funded by the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment in Finland.
Pro Opetustilat
Pro Opetustilat, or Pro Teaching facilities project, aims to map the current land use sector climate action plan activities of land-based, agriculture, horticulture and forestry educational institutions. Co-funded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the project defines the focus areas for experimental activities that enhance the expertise of each education institution in line with the national land use sector climate action plan (MISU). The focus areas for experimental activities in the learning environments are also defined.
