Besides spin-off projects and other initiatives on European platform level, the regional Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) on urban greening also realized a number of spin-offs. Here are some of such initiatives by the CoVE partners in Denmark.

Green Innovation Camp with Real-Life Challenges

The learning program “Green Innovation Camp with Real-Life Challenges,” co-funded by the Ministry of Education in Denmark, is a practical and authentic innovation camp designed to provide students with insights and hands-on experience in green entrepreneurship. The course includes engaging visits to leading companies in the green transition, where students are presented with a current challenge from the company. Over two days, students work on solutions to this challenge through a motivating innovation event. The program concludes with a pitch session where students present their proposed solutions to the companies.

MYREmidt: Future Technologies for Foreign Languages in VET

MYREmidt (More Youths Realizing Emerging technologies) aims to promote motivation to learn and use foreign languages among students in vocational education and training (VET).

To this end, the project explores the new opportunities offered by future technologies. In particular, the project partners explore Artificial Intelligence (AI) with avatars, safe spaces in Virtual Reality and visualizations with Augmented Reality. Students test themselves with each other in their teams and across national borders.

The project is co-funded by Region Midtjylland, and involves SOSU-STV and Mercantec as new partners.

Hop-In

Over 300 pupils and 600 family members took part in an engaging, hands-on, three-day open house event. As part of the project, students from Odder Gymnasium visited Green Academy to gain practical experience over the course of three days. At the end of the program, their families were invited to see the students’ progress firsthand. The primary goal was to attract more students to Green Academy and to promote vocational education and training (VET) in general.
