At the Green Academy, several initiatives have been undertaken to advance urban greening and green education in 2023.
1. Introduction of a Biodiversity Course
The Green Academy is developing an interactive, hands-on Biodiversity course for the public, aiming to engage the community and raise awareness about climate adaptation, biodiversity, and well-being in the urban environment.
2. Hosting a Cooperative Learning Challenge
The Green Academy participated in the International Urban Greening Week, where Danish vocational students engaged in a two-week cooperative learning challenge in Finland, focusing on real-life challenges in Urban Greening.
3. Implementation of Virtual Learning Tools
The Virtual Green Academy offers an interactive experience for users to explore the grounds in a 360-degree setting, providing audio and visual information about plant life in both Danish and English. This innovative learning tool is available to students, professionals, and the public.
