From May 8th to 9th, the 51st Congress of Public Parks and Gardens, PARJAP 2025, was held in Marbella, Spain, organized by the Spanish Association of Public Parks and Gardens and the Marbella City Council. Under the theme “Building Biodiversity in Unique Spaces,” the Spanish company Paimed participated as an exhibitor alongside its group company, Projar.
On Friday, a poster competition was held, with all entries displayed in the main hall of the congress venue. Projar Group presented two posters showcasing innovation projects developed by its technical office: “Tecroc Urban: Democratizing Vertical Gardens” and “Monitoring and Impact of Green Roofs on Urban Biodiversity,” with the latter being selected among the four finalists.
The first poster focused on the Tecroc Urban solution — an innovative system for greening vertical surfaces, designed to facilitate the integration of green infrastructure into urban environments.
It highlighted the pilot case implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ Tecroc Urban Project: Building Reliable Ecofriendly Affordable Transversal facades to make the whole Europe Green (BreatheGreen), which involves partners from Spain, Finland, Denmark, Romania, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands.
This system has already been tested in Spain and is currently being further developed within the BreatheGreen project. The goal is to adapt and validate it for use under any climatic conditions. It stands out as a sustainable, low-cost, and low-maintenance solution, offering multiple advantages over other vertical gardening systems.
