Laura Ferri, head of the Management Service for training and professional qualifications of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports of the GVA (Generalitat Valenciana), endorses the relevance of urban greening and the need for Centres of Vocational Excellence.
On behalf of the Generalitat Valenciana, Mrs Ferri highlights the desire to support the Erasmus+ EPLUG project focused on urban ecology as a tool to face the challenges posed by climate change, the loss of biodiversity and the decline of the quality of life in cities and urban areas.
Likewise, this project represents a good opportunity for both VET students and professionals in the green sector in terms of recycling and updating knowledge and skills, employment opportunities, all in line with European objectives.
