From September 23-26, the European Water Tech Week 2024 took place in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. The event was organized and hosted by the Erasmus+ funded PoVE Water project, which is advancing the EU's Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) initiative in the water sector. It was a global gathering for the water technology sector, bringing together businesses, knowledge institutions, and governments with a focus on innovation, education, and entrepreneurship in water technology.
Yuverta’s Blue Hotspot is partner in PoVE, Platform of Vocational Excellence Water. That’s why (green) VET students from Yuverta in Dordrecht and Velp joined students from the Czech Republic, Malta and Latvia to work on water technology during the European Water Tech Week 2024. They grabbed the opportunity to network with industry leaders, scientists, and policymakers; they explored cutting-edge solutions to global water challenges with water experts from across Europe and beyond, and engaged with the Water Campus Innovation Chain.

Why PoVE Water Is A Game-changer
PoVE Water contributes to the EU CoVE vision by training adaptable, skilled workers ready to lead the charge in the water sector’s transformation. The platform connects VET with Regional Innovation Ecosystems, ensuring vocational education is at the core of innovation in the water sector, and preparing professionals to meet the challenges of climate change and sustainability.
Besides CoVEs in the Netherlands, Malta, Czech Republic, and Latvia, PoVE Water is expanding vocational excellence beyond Europe with a CoVE Water in South Africa.
