On September 7th, the European Platform for Urban Greening was showcased as one of the successful CoVE projects at the 6th International Congress on Education and Training, hosted by Fundacja Rozwoju Systemu Edukacji (FRSE) and organised as part of EuroSkills 2023 in Gdansk, Poland.
On behalf of the European Platform for Urban Greening, project leader Jan Jeronimus explained how the Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) in this network are working on skills for new education and training.
With practical examples and showcases from different EU regions within the platform, he shared:
- How EU funds such as with Erasmus+ support the implementation of CoVEs
- What CoVEs are, and how they are connected
- What benefits they bring to learners, professionals and research on VET levels
- How CoVEs support knowledge transfer, and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise
- And last but not least, why CoVEs are referred to as the key to innovative teaching, research, and learning
