Cooperation in Green Sector Strengthened in Romania

The CoVE activities in Romania were formalized when the partners signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement in November 2022. The official signing ceremony took place on 5 December.

The MoU agreement establishes the Romanian CoVE with Liceul Tehnologic Cezar Nicolau, WorldSkills Romania Foundation and s.c. rpr – birou de studii contemporane s.r.l. as partners.

The activities that will take place in the next two years under the MoU are:
• Partners will focus on urban greening.
• All activities will be based on the principle of co-creation/collaboration

The CoVE activities will reply on:
• A common agenda for innovation, sharing knowledge and the latest developments in the field, through the development of projects for innovation and applied research.
• Increasing public awareness – decision makers, pupils, students, urban greening professionals, the general public.
• Preparing a suitably qualified workforce for the urban greening sector, through the development and continuous updating of curricula, the exchange of experience among teachers, students, and qualified staff from companies, as well as the development of recruitment tools to be used by partners

The ceremony was attended by special guests from Ilfov County Council (the “parliament” of Ilfov county) vicepresident Mr. Stefan Radulescu and Ilfov County School Inspectorate, Deputy General School Inspector Ms. Cristina Petre-Ghita. Both guests attended the meeting with the intention of supporting or joining the Romanian CoVE: Landscape Factory.
