Yuverta is working on a greener indoor climate

Work in progress! Dutch CoVE Yuverta is working on a greener indoor climate. This project is being taken up by the Green Hotspot, together with supplier Hoogendoorn Projectplanting - Interior Planting and Hydroculture.

Interior greenery is currently indispensable in interior design magazines, television programs and new buildings. It is applied in places where people work, live and relax. The positive effects of indoor plants are great. Not only does it look beautiful, but it also has many beneficial effects on concentration and general well-being.

Greener indoor climate

At the beginning of February, Hoogendoorn started planting at the Yuverta location in Houten. In a few hours, the auditorium and reception were transformed into a green oasis by placing various plants and planters, and by putting hanging plants on the balustrades. The green wall in the auditorium also received a makeover, literally bringing it back to life. The first reactions from students were very positive: “Very cosy, so many plants in the building!” In this way, the students and pupils also come into contact with all the possibilities in the field of interior greenery.

Interior green education and training

The increasing interest in indoor greenery is also reflected in Yuverta’s range of study programmes. For example, Yuverta Lifelong Development, in collaboration with the VHG (the branch organization for gardeners), offers the Basic Interior Planting Training and the Indoor Plants Training, in which you gain knowledge about the range of houseplants and care, in order to advise costumers in the best way possible.

Adopt a Rainforest

This project came about from the Green Hotspot in close collaboration with the Flower team of Yuverta, and of course with supplier Hoogendoorn Projectplanting. The projects they realize consist of designing, supplying and maintaining interior plants and green walls for offices, hospitals, healthcare institutions, schools, government institutions and hotels.

Hoogendoorn also works together with the foundation Adopt a Rainforest. This foundation protects tropical rainforest and thus the rich ecosystems in Costa Rica. Hoogendoorn adopts a piece of rainforest in Costa Rica for every new customer. With this project, Yuverta has adopted fifteen square meters of rainforest in Costa Rica.
