Urban trees are an essential element for the health and well-being of all urban inhabitants. Trees provide us with many services, such as oxygen production, cooling of the environment, water retention and biodiversity. It is important that everyone knows the value of trees in our living environment.
On Thursday, September 19, 2024, Dutch organization Pius Floris Tree Care, together with 9 other organizations across Europe, organized an international awareness campaign about the importance of trees in our cities and villages.
More than 700 trees
The Tree Tag Campaign was a great success! More than 700 trees were tagged throughout Europe. In the Netherlands, trees in 30 cities were tagged! Check www.TreeTags.eu for the exact location and visit these trees to see how important they are. Take a photo of (you and) the TreeTag and post it on Instagram with #EUTreeTag to support this campaign.
